How do I start Breathwork?

Before you begin any Breathwork exercises, you might have to decongest your nose, (in our next blog post).

But first, it might be to just spend some time in advance of your first session, becoming AWARE of how you breathe. Awareness of the breath is very important in order to improve breathing patterns. Only when people can see, feel, hear or follow their breath can they change it.

It's time to tune in and make a change:

1. Get in Tune: Your breath is your best buddy when it comes to feeling great. But first, you have to notice it! Whether you're seeing, feeling, hearing, or just following along, paying attention is key.

2. Focus In: Try zeroing in on that sweet spot just inside your nose. It's like your breath's own little stage! By giving it the spotlight, you can soften things up without any body tensing or muscle meddling.

3. Get Hands-On: If you're struggling to connect, no worries! Your Sync instructor can lend a hand, literally. Syncing up with your breath and saying, "Here's your breath in, and there's your breath out" can really help things click.

4. Sketch it Out: Another cool trick? Grab a piece of paper and sketch out your breathing journey. Follow along as you breathe in and out, mapping out the highs and lows. It's a creative way to really get IN SYNC with your breath.

5. Slow it Down: Remember, the name of the game is to chill out and take it slow. We're talking about softening up that breath, not tensing up those muscles. So, relax, focus those thoughts, and let that breath flow!

With a little awareness and some gentle guidance, you'll be breathing easy in no time!
